We cannot escape the aging process, no matter how hard we try. As we grow older, many of us gain some extra weight, get tired more easily, and have aches and pains we never had before. We can fight the signs of aging with exercising and better eating habits. Looking older and losing hair are the worst parts about getting older. Men are more likely to suffer from hair loss, which deeply affects a person’s self esteem. There are both over the counter and prescription products that claim to reverse hair loss. Finasteride is a prescription that has been proven to offer results.

As stated in Wikipedia, Finasteride is a synthetic antiandrogen (hinders the biological reflexes usually triggered by the male sex hormones). Originally, Finasteride (marketed as Proscar, Fincar and Finara) was intended to be taken by men with benign prostate hyperplasia, as 5 mg of this medication decreased urinary symptoms. Regardless of this, the following items are often to blame for stained teeth:

Foods: Curry, soy sauce, cherries, berries, balsamic vinegar, and many other highly pigmented foods and condiments. When you eat acidic foods like citrus fruits, the pores of your tooth enamel open up.  This can cause your teeth to stain very easily.

Drinks: Dark drinks like cranberry juice, coffee, tea, red wine, cola, and other dark colored soft drinks can cause your teeth to be stained. Understand that if a liquid will stain a piece of white fabric, it will surely stain your teeth. Be careful with liquids that are very hot or very cold. Your teeth will expand and contract when they come in contact with the different temperatures of these liquids. Because of this, stains will be able to sink into the teeth with greater ease.

Smoking: You are probably already aware of the fact that smoking can really stain your teeth. When you catch smoking stains early, you can remove them. However, if you continue to smoke and do not address it, the staining will spread and move deeper into your tooth enamel. Then it will be a lot harder to get rid of. After a while, your teeth will be permanently stained by smoking.

Chewing Tobacco: Tobacco chewers usually have a brownish-black stain on their enamel. The tobacco is stored in front of the bottom teeth, so naturally the stain is darker there.

Poor Dental Hygiene: If you brush and floss daily and have regular check-ups and cleanings with your dentist, it will be very beneficial in keeping your teeth white and healthy.
