What are some good foods to eat to build up the immune system, to avoid getting sick in the flu season?

It’s time to stock your kitchen with health promoting foods. Researchers have found that the nutrients you eat can have a strong impact on your immunity. For example, vitamin A is key to maintaining the protective barriers that line the mouth, lungs and intestines and filter out those pesky germs and viruses floating around in office and at home. However, you still need to wash your hands to prevent passing on the germs floating around during this time of year.
To stay strong and healthy this year I recommend that you eat a variety of produce and aim for five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables daily, plus whole grains, nonfat dairy foods, lean protein rich foods and small amounts of nuts and seeds. Do not forget to aim for fish about 2 times a week. Fitness Heaven suggests that you try to keep your fat intake to below 30% of calories with healthier fats such as olive oil, canola oil, nuts and seeds. You also need to stay well hydrated, especially when the air is drier.

All these are health promoting foods and are found in the Fitness Heaven meal plans. You can talk with your physician about taking a multivitamin/mineral supplement that provides 100% of the Daily Value for most nutrients. Research shows that you need not need megadoses of nutrients. And, if you get sick please talk with your doctor before taking echinacea or any other herbal treatment.

Made out of a different special organic compounds, minerals, detox pads are intended to be worn at night to improving the metabolism, blood circulation and also energy levels.
